About the Role
We are building AI-powered SaaS products and are looking for a Project Manager dedicated to our product development team. You will work closely with the Product Manager, engineering, QA, design, and DevOps to turn the product roadmap into predictable, high-quality releases.
The Product Manager owns what we build and why. You will own how and when it gets delivered: sprint planning, task management, release coordination, dependency tracking, and keeping leadership informed on progress, risks, and timelines.
Key Responsibilities
Planning & Execution
- Translate the product roadmap into release plans, epics, sprints, and milestones
- Work with the Product Manager and engineering leads to break features into well-scoped, estimable tasks
- Own task creation, allocation, estimation, due dates, and status tracking in the project management tool (ClickUp / Jira or similar)
- Run agile ceremonies: sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
- Maintain a clean, prioritized sprint backlog in coordination with the Product Manager
Release Management
- Own the release calendar and coordinate release readiness across engineering, QA, and DevOps
- Manage release checklists, staging/production sign-off, release notes, and rollback plans
- Ensure QA is scheduled and completed with adequate lead time before each release
- Track post-release issues and coordinate hotfixes
Tracking, Reporting & Communication
- Monitor sprint progress, velocity, burndown, cycle time, and defect trends; use data to improve estimation accuracy over time
- Prepare weekly status reports for leadership covering progress, risks, and upcoming milestones
- Track team capacity and effort against estimates; flag discrepancies and over-allocation
- Maintain project documentation, decision logs, and meeting notes
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Serve as the single point of coordination between product, engineering, design, QA, DevOps, marketing, and customer success
- Identify and manage dependencies between teams and workstreams
- Surface blockers early and drive them to resolution
- Route bugs, feature requests, and customer feedback from support/CS into the backlog for Product Manager prioritization
Risk & Change Management
- Maintain a risk register and mitigation plans for delivery, technical, and vendor risks
- Manage scope changes: assess impact on timeline and effort, and present trade-offs to the Product Manager and leadership
- Ensure security, data privacy, and compliance requirements are captured as work items and tracked to completion
- Monitor cloud and third-party API/service costs against budget and report deviations
Stakeholder Communication
- Primary stakeholders are internal (Product Manager, engineering, QA, DevOps, leadership)
- Participate in customer-facing calls as needed, e.g., enterprise onboarding commitments, pilot delivery timelines, or escalations on critical issues
Required Skills & Experience
- 2+ years of project management experience, on a software product or SaaS development team
- Strong hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum; able to run ceremonies and coach the team on process
- Working understanding of the software development lifecycle, and release management
- Proficiency with project management tools (ClickUp, Jira, or similar) and familiarity with Git-based workflows
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and see releases through to completion
- Experience tracking effort, capacity, and budget
- Strong written and verbal communication; able to present status, risks, and trade-offs clearly to leadership
- Structured, detail-oriented, and comfortable driving accountability across teams
Nice to Have
- Exposure to AI/ML or LLM-based product development: data pipelines, model or prompt iteration, evaluation cycles, and the uncertainty involved in estimating such work
- Familiarity with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.), or AI platform vendors and their cost models
- Technical background (engineering or computer science) or prior developer/QA experience
